How much mulch do I actually need for my garden beds?
Most garden beds use 2–3 inches of mulch. For a typical 100 sq ft bed at 3" depth that's about 1 cubic yard. Use our Yard Calculator on this page to get an exact number based on your length, width, and depth.
Do you deliver to Moncton, Dieppe, and Riverview?
Yes. We deliver across the Greater Moncton area including Moncton, Dieppe, Riverview, Salisbury, and Shediac. Delivery fees vary by distance from our Irishtown yard, and we'll confirm the rate before dispatch.
What's the difference between dyed black mulch and natural cedar?
Our Black Beauty Mulch is dyed hardwood that holds its dark color all season for a sharp, formal look. Natural Cedar Mulch is un-dyed, smells excellent, and naturally repels insects, but it weathers to a silver-grey faster. Cedar costs a bit more per yard but lasts longer before needing a top-up.
Is your topsoil screened and weed-free?
Yes. Our Premium Topsoil is screened to remove rocks and debris, and it's lab-tested. We do not use unscreened fill. It's safe for new lawns, raised beds, and vegetable gardens.
Can I get a small delivery, or is it bulk only?
Small orders are welcome. We'll deliver as little as half a cubic yard within the Greater Moncton area. There's no minimum bag count and no surcharge for residential driveways.
What stone size should I use for a driveway?
For most residential driveways we recommend our 3/4" Crushed Stone. It compacts well, drains properly, and stays in place under tires. River Rock is more decorative and better suited to garden beds or dry creek features rather than driveways.
How do I know if the yard is open after heavy rain?
Check the live Rainy Day Status card on this page under "Today at Yard Outfitters." The owner updates it directly from our Facebook page so customers know whether to order without calling. If the yard is too wet to load safely, we pause and reschedule.
Do you offer same-day delivery?
Same-day delivery is available in the Moncton area for orders placed before 2pm, weather and crew schedule permitting. Same-week delivery is standard for everywhere else in our service radius.
